Northampton Transport Heritage was formed in 2017, Principally to look after three ex-Northampton Corporation Transport vehicles: ANH 154, DNH 197 and JVV 267G to secure their future for the public to access them and ride upon them. We also have access to vehicles owned by our members including BNH 246C a 1965 ex-NCT Daimler CVG6, NBD 311F a 1967 ex-United Counties Bristol RE and two recent additions to our fleet (owned by members) include H654 VVV a 1990 ex Stagecoach United Counties Leyland Olympian and SOX 859 a Commer TS3 Avenger ex-Wesleys Coach Services.
We also have extensive material of N.C.T. which along with the vehicles, We aim to conserve and make available to the public via a museum.
Our key ethos is to encourage interest and study of our vehicles, And we encourage schools, community groups and businesses to get involved and contact us for availability of these icons of the past.
That’s not all though, within out eventual aim to create a transport museum for Northampton and the shire, We aim to cater for all aspects of the rich transport heritage of town and county, whether is be bus, car, lorry, rail or water.
If it’s transport related with a Northamptonshire connection, We are interested.
We are always looking for new members and volunteers, So why not join us?
We produce four newsletters per year and have regular members outings and meetings with guest speakers and we hold regular “maintenance” days where members are encouraged to get involved and help clean and maintain our vehicles. NTH is currently in the process of applying for Charitable status.
We believe that our vehicles are equally important as any building, historically. as icons of Northamptonshire and we actively work with local authorities to promote our heritage and bring them to the public at events of displays.

We need your help, as members, to achieve this and hopefully maintain and improve the appearance of the buses. If you are able to spare an occasional two or three hours on a Monday morning (Every Monday morning except for Bank Holidays) to help then please contact us using the contact form on the contact page or alternatively call Arthur on 07720 628083 or Graham on 07841 678018 for more details. We supply the cleaning kit and you will get a cup of tea and a biscuit!
