National Tramway Museum at Crich – Coach
April 14 @ 08:00 - 17:00
Set in the Derbyshire Peak District the National Tramway Museum is home to a world renowned collection of more than 90 vehicles. These include vintage trams from the earliest horse drawn models through to the first generation electric trams and system maintenance vehicles. The trams operate on a mile long track with various stops en route with views of the Amber Valley from the terminus. There is a period street scene with buildings that have been saved and relocated to Crich, the Great Exhibition Hall detailing tramway history and the Stephenson Workshop – originally a smithy and wagon works now with a viewing platform for the workshops. Along the line there are woodland walks, a sculpture trail and picnic areas. The village has places to eat and drink. There will be a guided tour of the workshops and exhibition hall.
