We continue to monitor the ongoing Covid-19 situation and particularly the recent localised restrictions that have been put in place in Northampton to forestall another lockdown. Our plans to hold the event continue to be formulated but obviously are under constant review. If you intend to participate during the event then please be aware that there will be restrictions in place. As is normal for the event, we will provide bus services to venues that are open to visitors. It is likely that many of the usual participating venues will be hosting virtual tours and as a consequence the need for buses may be reduced. To counter this, we plan to operate regular short tours in addition to the services.
Travel on the buses will be entirely at the passengers’ own risk but we will be taking all reasonable precautions to minimise any danger. Buses will operate on reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. Intending passengers will be required to hand sanitise before boarding and to wear a face covering or face mask whilst on the bus. Loading will only take place a short time before scheduled departure time and will be supervised by the conductor or one of our volunteers who will indicate the seats you may use. Unloading will also be supervised to maintain distancing as much as possible. Please follow any directions given by our helpers. NTH Members will be given priority boarding on the short tours on production of their current membership card.
Please do not travel to join us if you feel unwell or have a raised temperature on the day or if you are self-isolating.
Vehicles we hope to operate currently include Northampton Transport Daimler 154 (ANH 154), Bedford OB MYB 33, Barton AEC Regent 851 (851 FNN), Open top Volvo Olympian R738 XRV, Mini Pointer Dart Y482 VRH and First Northampton Volvo B7L 66334 (MV02 VBZ).
Because of the evolving situation, please check back regularly for updates on our website here in the news section or Facebook page at: https://www.facebook.com/NTHeritage/
